Pros
- Avoids costly SCR, injector and sensor faults and countdown lockouts
- Relevant for off-road, motorsport and export builds
AdBlue Off
SCR faults can be eye-wateringly expensive. Here is what an AdBlue-off involves — and exactly where it is allowed.
Selective Catalytic Reduction injects AdBlue to turn NOx into nitrogen and water. An AdBlue-off calibration removes the SCR strategy. It applies to EDC17-era diesels and newer — earlier controllers never had it.
On a modern road diesel, the compliant fix is to repair the SCR system. As a delete, it is for off-road, motorsport and export use only.
The SCR/AdBlue system is a mandatory emissions control on modern road diesels. Disabling it is illegal for road use in most countries and will fail emissions testing. Intended for off-road, motorsport or export vehicles only. Check local law.
AdBlue/SCR appears on EDC17-era diesels and newer. Earlier controllers (EDC15/EDC16) did not use it.
