Pros
- Bigger, more sustained gains than Stage 1
- Puts your installed hardware to full work
- Stronger top-end and cleaner exhaust flow
Stage 2
The next step for a car that has already shed its bottlenecks. Stage 2 reaches further than Stage 1, but it only makes sense once the supporting hardware is in place.
A Stage 2 calibration is built around your upgrades — typically a freer-flowing exhaust (downpipe or sports cat) and intake — so the engine can safely use the headroom those parts unlock.
Absolutely worth it once the hardware is fitted. On an otherwise standard car, Stage 1 is the cleverer, cheaper choice — and you can always step up later.
Yes — Stage 2 is calibrated around upgrades such as a downpipe and intake. Without them, Stage 1 is the correct step.
